Auto-transport company Southeast Transportation Systems, Inc. (STS) was established in 2000 to better serve Toyota dealerships in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina. We operate out of a state-of-the-art 21,500-square-foot facility in Jacksonville, FL, which includes a comfortable and welcoming driver lounge, complete service shop, truck wash, fuel island and more.
STS is part of Southeast Toyota Distributors, a division of JM Family Enterprises, Inc. and the world’s largest independent distributor of Toyotas. The company was established in 1968 when Jim Moran partnered with Toyota Motor Sales to help expand the automaker’s presence in the U.S. market. Today, Southeast Toyota distributes vehicles, parts and accessories to 177 independent Toyota dealerships in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and North and South Carolina. Vehicles manufactured in North America and Japan are processed at the company’s facilities in Jacksonville, FL, and Commerce, GA. Southeast Toyota also supports dealers through regional sales and marketing, customer service, accessory development and sales, fleet sales, and transportation and logistics.
Our fleet of over 100 trucks and team of 120 exceptional associates work together to transport vehicles from Southeast Toyota Distributors' vehicle processing centers in Jacksonville, FL and Commerce, GA. In 2018, STS transported over 195,000 Toyota vehicles to Toyota dealers and fleet accounts throughout the Southeast.
What we do today has an impact on our world tomorrow. We believe it's essential to focus on ways to be an environmentally sustainable organization. Our average fuel economy is 5.36 miles per gallon compared to our partners who average 5.20 miles per gallon. In 2018, STS was honored with a SmartWay® Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. We were recognized as an industry leader in environmental performance, energy efficiency and reducing our overall carbon footprint. STS was the only automobile carrier in the United States to receive a SmartWay Excellence Award in the auto segment.
